Our Story

A Welcoming Community of Faith

Houston Ethiopian Kalehewot Church is a warm and welcoming congregation devoted to exalting God, growing in His Word, and serving our city. We gather to worship in spirit and truth, to encourage one another, and to share the love of Christ with all who come through our doors.

Rooted in Ethiopian heritage and the timeless Gospel, we are a place where faith, culture, and community come together. Families, students, newcomers to Houston, and lifelong believers all find a home here.

የእምነታችን መግለጫ

በአብ፣ በወልድና በመንፈስ ቅዱስ በአንድ አምላክ እናምናለን። መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ የእግዚአብሔር ቃል እንደ ሆነና ለሕይወታችን መመሪያ እንደ ሆነ እናምናለን።

ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ስለ ኀጢአታችን እንደ ሞተ፣ እንደ ተቀበረና በሦስተኛው ቀን ከሙታን እንደ ተነሣ እናምናለን። በእርሱ በማመን መዳን እናገኛለን።

ሁሉም ሰው በክርስቶስ ፍቅር በዚህ ቤተ ክርስቲያን እንኳን ደህና መጣችሁ።

Our Beliefs

We believe in one God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — and that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our guide for life and faith.

We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day, and that we are saved through faith in Him.

We welcome all people into the love of Christ, and we are committed to worshiping God, growing in His Word, and serving our community.
